"Abstract" is an older tune of mine that has to do with the balance between living in the head and living from the heart. It is purposefully the "headiest" tune on the album - meant to convey the left brain, analytical functions of our waking mind. To be sure, i for one have often struggled with "analysis paralysis" over the years- where the over-abundance of the abstract thinking mind can prevent me from flow, ease, and the joy of unencumbered creation. Life is all about knowing when and where to use the gift of our minds..discernment, focus, understanding..and also when to turn it off, allowing our intuition to reign supreme - free from concepts, judgement, "should-do's", and over-thinking in its many forms.
