With the recent release of my "Rough Sketch" single on 6/19/20, I thought it would be cool to offer the public a taste of my rewards for the crowdfunders of the initial project, The LYVELIFE EP, which has now become a full-blown album and is still in the works (but nearing the finish line!!). Having played this song over so many years with so many different configurations of The JHP, I wanted to share what the process has looked like - from conception (roughly 2013) to what you hear on final, polished, squeaky-clean track out there in the World now.

Bonus items to this EP include messy concept/lyric sketches and drafts of the single art. No obligation to listen to every single rendition in succession, cause you might just end up getting sick of it...but fans may really enjoy hearing all the differences in tempo, arrangement, instrumentation, feel, vibe...all the unique nuances from each performance that make a song a living, breathing, constantly evolving thing.

This little EP collection is a very clear reminder/lesson in Trusting The Process - an integral message of this song - and a window into the journey a song like this takes before it reaches the pinnacle of the "iceberg" AKA what the casual listener hears at the end of the process.

The irony is, even after all this, Rough Sketch feels like it has just BEEN BORN, in a sense, now that it's officially released. Let's see the kind of shape it takes on next...
